Our commitment

We want every visitor to be able to find our work, understand our services and contact us, regardless of how they access the web. Accessibility is treated as part of how the site is built and maintained, not as something added at the end.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by accessibility legislation across Canada, including the Accessible British Columbia Act and the Accessible Canada Act. We review our site against these guidelines as it develops.

What we do

  • Descriptive alternative text on photographs and graphics, so screen reader users receive the same information
  • Clear heading structure and page titles, so pages can be navigated without a mouse
  • Colour contrast chosen to remain readable, with meaning never carried by colour alone
  • Keyboard access to menus, forms, galleries and buttons
  • Readable text sizes that reflow on smaller screens and when a visitor zooms
  • Forms with labelled fields and clear, specific error messages
  • Captions or transcripts on video, where that video carries information

Known limitations

We are honest about where we are. Some older material, embedded third-party tools such as booking, payment and client-gallery systems, and some image-heavy portfolio pages may not yet be fully optimised for every assistive technology. We address these as we identify them and as the site develops.
